Managing Environmental Compliance
This is a 3-day course designed to familiarize the participant with current environmental regulations in order to ensure ongoing compliance. Topics addressed include:

  • Hazardous Waste (RCRA-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act)
  • Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA/SARA Title III)
  • Air Emissions - State Implementation and Title V
  • Hazardous Chemical Storage (including RMP/PMS)
  • Industrial Wastewater
  • Stormwater Permitting and Pollution Prevention Plans
  • Spill, Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC)
  • Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks
  • Hazardous Materials Transportation
  • Legal Considerations
  • Developing, Implementing, and Maintaining a Compliance Management Program
  • Case studies presented by different companies will demonstrate various methods of implementing corporate compliance programs
  • Several exercises and group activities will also complement some lecture sessions.
